Vodafone Foundation Australia is part of a global network of 27 Vodafone Foundations which uses mobile technology to improve the health, well-being and success of disadvantaged youth and their communities. The NZ Vodafone Foundation’s flagship youth development programme, World of Difference, is the Foundation’s driving initiative that has ambitious goals for long term change.
As part of its fundraising activity, the NZ chapter of the organisation partnered with Colenso BBDO to reach out and ask for the help of the public. The brief was to create an outdoor campaign that could achieve cut-through by connecting to the public differently while communicating Vodafone’s active involvement in creating real social value.
With an artistic and eclectic representation of a heart, hand and a head, the team of Watermark artists worked together to bring a rare mix of collage, line drawings, mixed media and craftsmanship. Using multiple layers of meaning and executed using direct symbolism, the series of posters unite the community, environment and the self into one concept.
The campaign was executed online, across billboards, bus stops and train stations.
