IMMERSE YOURSELF IN A SURREAL AND EVOLVING WORLD
As the music begins, the new augmented reality video clip unveils a world of strange and surreal creatures and plants that respond to touch and proximity. The scene evolves slowly, growing and changing as environmental effects morph, pulling the viewer deeper into a visceral and immersive experience.
Watermark’s interactive music video created for Shapeshifter and their single – ‘Monarch’ – had to live up to expectation for this internationally celebrated, multi-award winning sonic experimentalist outfit who are known to sell out music festivals and attract musical collaborations you only dream about.
We siphoned visual inspiration from the song and looked at alternative ways of telling the story. The development of an augmented reality experience engaged our device-dependant, tech-savvy audience globally. The animation comes to life when the user picks up on the tracking image. At any stage the user can pause the experience, take a photo and share with friends and Shapeshifter, creating a dialogue between fans and the band.
As an app available on iTunes, Shapeshifter’s ‘Monarch’ has instantly become a worldwide product tapping into a potential new market for the band.
