NUFARM – DEADLY PEST CAMPAIGN

BRAND MAKEOVER MAXIMISES IMPACT


Having always been inspired by toys and 3D cartoon characters as a child, Anton Petrov jumped at the chance to create cartoon-like characters for NuFarm’s new insecticide, ‘Attack’ – manufactured for broad spectrum control in fodder crops.

Armed with photo references for seven pests Anton set out to create comical “mug shots” of each which could be rendered in a realistic art style for use in marketing and advertising. To achieve the best effect, Anton said he channelled ‘guilt’ and ‘fear’ and tried to express these emotions in the body language and the faces of the characters.
“I knew this this project was going to be one where I could unleash my creativity. Creating non-human characters that can convey distinct personalities was challenging but certainly fun,” he said of the project which resulted in a stunningly vivid outcome and an elated client. The illustrations were created for both print advertising and digital executions.
