David’s passion for graphic novels and comics has translated into a successful illustration career offering a style that can be described as rich in humour as it is in complexity.
David is an emotive visual storyteller bringing a highly relatable and satirical quality to his work. Given the chance, he would happily write and draw graphic novels and comics indefinitely.
David holds a fascination with Austrian physicist, Schrodinger whose paradoxical thought experiment – Schrodinger’s Cat – sought to expose the quantum mechanical state of an event that may or may not occur. Physics aside, we have to wonder if there is a deeper philosophical connection or just a mere coincidence that David’s first drawing may have been a flock of ducks and that he now plays funk, soul and motown in his band, Lucid Duck.
